FAQ

What is Daily Rugby Games?

A free collection of daily rugby union puzzles — the rugby equivalent of Wordle. Each game gives everyone in the world the same puzzle each day, with a spoiler-free emoji grid you can share with your mates or your club group chat.

How does Lineout work?

You have six guesses to identify the mystery player. After each guess the scoreboard tells you how close you are on six attributes: position, nation, club, international caps, age and debut year. Green means spot on, amber means close (same unit, region or league), and arrows show whether the answer's numbers are higher or lower.

When does a new puzzle come out?

Midnight UK time (GMT in winter, BST in summer), every day. The countdown after you finish shows exactly how long until the next one.

Do I need an account?

No. Your progress, stats and streaks are stored on your own device — no sign-up, no cookies, no tracking. The flip side: stats don't transfer between devices, and clearing your browser data clears your streak.

Which players can be the answer?

Current internationals from the major Test nations, recent retirees you'd still recognise, and — on Sundays — an all-time legend. The wider guessable pool is bigger, covering hundreds of professional players past and present. Player data is compiled from public sources and refreshed after each international window.
